Last modified: August 27, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use are entered into between you and Insider Louisville (“we,” “us” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of this website, including its content, functionality and services.
By using the website, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the website.
2. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes apply when posted. Your continued use after a revision means that you accept the updated terms, so please review this page periodically.
3. Website access and account security
We may withdraw, restrict or amend the website or any service or material without notice. We do not guarantee that all or part of the website will always be available.
You are responsible for arranging your access and ensuring that anyone using your internet connection understands and follows these terms.
If registration information is requested, it must be correct, current and complete. Our handling of that information is described in our Privacy Policy. Credentials must be kept confidential and may not be shared. Notify us promptly if you discover unauthorized account access. We may disable credentials when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated.
4. Intellectual property rights
The website and its contents—including text, reporting, software, displays, images, audio, video, design and arrangement—are owned by Insider Louisville, its licensors or other providers and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use the website for personal, noncommercial purposes. Your browser may temporarily store or cache materials, and you may print or download a reasonable number of pages for personal, noncommercial reference.
Unless we give written permission, you must not:
- Reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or create derivative works from website materials.
- Use photographs, illustrations, audio, video or graphics separately from their accompanying context.
- Remove copyright, trademark or other ownership notices.
- Access or use website materials for commercial purposes.
No ownership interest is transferred to you. Uses not expressly permitted by these terms may violate intellectual-property laws.
5. Trademarks
The Insider Louisville name, logo and related identifiers are protected marks. They may not be used without prior written permission. Other names and marks appearing on the website remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Copyright policy
We take copyright claims seriously and respond to notices that comply with applicable law. If you believe material available through the website infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, email a written notice to info@insiderlouisville.com-us.com.
A notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
- Identification of the material claimed to infringe, with enough detail for us to locate it.
- Information sufficient for us to contact you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, an agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.
An incomplete notice may not be effective. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a claim may create liability under applicable law. We may disable or terminate accounts of repeat infringers when appropriate.
7. Prohibited uses
You may use the website only lawfully and in accordance with these terms. You must not use it to:
- Violate applicable federal, state, local or international law.
- Exploit or harm minors, seek identifying information from them improperly or expose them to inappropriate material.
- Transmit unauthorized promotions, bulk solicitations, chain messages or spam.
- Impersonate Insider Louisville, its personnel, another user or another person or organization.
- Restrict another person’s use of the website or create harm or liability.
- Introduce malicious code or interfere with the website, its servers, computers or databases.
- Attempt unauthorized access or conduct denial-of-service attacks.
- Use automated or manual methods to monitor or copy website material without permission, except as permitted by law.
8. User contributions
If the website allows comments, submissions or other interactive contributions, anything you submit must comply with these terms. Contributions are considered nonconfidential and nonproprietary unless a specific feature states otherwise.
By submitting material, you grant us and our service providers a nonexclusive right to host, reproduce, display, adapt and distribute it as reasonably needed to operate and present the website. You represent that you control the necessary rights and that your contribution is lawful, accurate to the extent it states facts, and consistent with these terms.
You remain responsible for your contributions. We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of material posted by users.
9. Monitoring and enforcement
We may remove or decline user contributions, take action concerning material that violates these terms, disclose information when legally required, refer unlawful activity to appropriate authorities, and suspend or terminate access.
We cannot review every submission before publication or guarantee immediate removal. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for action or inaction concerning user communications or third-party content.
10. Content standards
User contributions must comply with applicable law and must not:
- Contain unlawful threats, targeted harassment, hateful content, explicit sexual material or graphic violence.
- Promote discrimination or unlawful conduct.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other legal rights.
- Deceive others or misrepresent identity or affiliation.
- Include unauthorized advertising, promotions or commercial solicitations.
- Falsely suggest that Insider Louisville or another party endorses the material.
11. Reliance on information
Website information is provided for general informational purposes. Although we work to report accurately and provide useful context, we do not guarantee that every item is complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose. Reliance on website information is at your own risk.
Material supplied by contributors or third parties reflects the responsibility and views of its provider and does not necessarily represent Insider Louisville.
12. Information and privacy
Information collected through the website is handled under our Privacy Policy. By using the website, you acknowledge the practices described there.
13. Linking and third-party resources
You may link to our homepage in a fair and lawful way that does not imply an association, approval or endorsement. You may not frame the website, misrepresent its content or use links in a manner inconsistent with these terms.
The website may link to third-party resources for context or convenience. We do not control those resources and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Accessing a third-party resource is at your own risk and subject to its own terms.
14. Availability and geographic use
We may update website material, but content is not necessarily complete or current at all times. The website is operated in the United States. Anyone accessing it elsewhere is responsible for compliance with applicable local law.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate device security, backups and protection against malicious code.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, complete security, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. This disclaimer does not exclude warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Insider Louisville and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or linked resources. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Insider Louisville and its service providers from claims, liabilities, losses and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these terms, your unlawful use of the website or your user contributions, to the extent permitted by law.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms and disputes relating to them are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, proceedings must be brought in an appropriate state or federal court in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
Where legally permitted, we may require a dispute to be resolved by final and binding arbitration under applicable arbitration rules and Kentucky law.
19. Time to file claims
To the extent permitted by law, a claim arising from these terms or the website must be commenced within one year after it accrues, or it will be permanently barred.
20. Waiver, severability and entire agreement
A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining terms will continue in effect.
These Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement concerning use of the website and replace prior understandings on that subject.
